Rachel Hansen
President NEO Inc., & Lead Designer
Rachel was raised in Barkley Sound on the West Coast of Vancouver Island, BC. She holds a BA in Latin and Classical Studies from the University of Victoria. After archaeological field work and site illustration in Jordan, Greece and Turkey, Rachel returned to Canada to complete a design internship with IDC International Design. In 1998 she moved to Seattle and formed Image in Action Design (IIA), a graphic design company. In 2010, IIA was merged into the parent corporation, Northwest Event Organizers (NEO Inc).
From designing websites and magazines to children's books and cookbooks; or strategic long term marketing plans to "attractive" annual reports – Rachel enjoys managerial challenges from conception to execution.
John Hansen
Vice-PRESIDENT NEO INC, Logistics
Commercial pilot, oyster farmer, inventor and co-conspirator, John was born in Moncton, NB, and raised in Southern California. John moved to the Pacific Northwest after graduation to pursue his passion for floatplane flying.
His strengths include leveraging budgets and creative planning and risk management. John uses his innovative spirit and problem solving skills to keep the BIG ideas grounded, launched and flying.
John and Rachel live in Shelton with their three children and menagerie including a Landseer Newfoundland named Bear and a Chinese guard goose (Houston the Rodeo Goose). When John isn’t sorting oysters or piloting 737s, he enjoys traveling through distant lands with his family (yes, they do exist.)
